What Go to Neighbor does

Go to Neighbor is a record-keeping app. It helps you keep track of your clients, your sessions, and money: what you're owed and what you've been paid.

That's it. We don't move money. We don't take payments for you. We don't send invoices for you.

Free while we build it

Go to Neighbor is completely free while we build it. You get the whole app, with any number of clients and Team included. No card needed.

If you sign up before paid plans start, you are an early user. Early users keep the whole app free for life, as long as we run Go to Neighbor, with any number of clients and Team included.

Free for life belongs to the account you made before paid plans start. It does not move to a new account. If you delete your account and sign up again later, the new account follows the prices of that time.

You send your own texts

Go to Neighbor never sends a text, an email or a payment request for you. When you tap Send balance, Remind client, Text them, or send someone on your team their schedule, the app opens your own Messages app with the words already written.

You can also copy the words instead. Send balance can open Venmo with the request filled in, and a team schedule can open your phone's share menu.

Nothing goes out until you press Send yourself, or Request in Venmo. You are responsible for what you send.

If people work with you

If people help you with the work, turn on "People work with me" in Settings. You can add up to 5 people. For each one you save what they do and how you pay them:

• A set amount each time
• By the hour
• A share of the price
• Varies, where you type the amount after each session

You pick who does each session. Each person has a week view with their schedule, which you can text, share or copy to them. The app shows what you owe each person, and you tap Mark paid when you pay them. Your client is charged the same no matter who does the session.

You decide who to add and what to save about them. Let them know you keep these records. The people you add don't get an account, and Go to Neighbor never contacts them.

The app keeps your record of what you owe them. It does not pay them, run payroll, hold back taxes or send tax forms. These numbers are your own records, not tax or legal advice.

You decide whether someone is an employee or a contractor. You follow the work and pay rules where you live, including rules about minimum pay and about hiring anyone under 18.

Your account is your responsibility

Keep your password private. Anything that happens in your account is treated as done by you. If you think someone else got in, change your password and tell us right away.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Go to Neighbor. If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian knows you're using it.

We may email you updates about the app, new features and news. Every one has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it stops them. Emails about your account itself, like resetting your password, still come.

Fair use

Don't use Go to Neighbor to:

• Break the law or help someone else break it.
• Store data about people who wouldn't want you to have it.
• Attack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the app.
• Get into someone else's account.
• Upload anything harmful, hateful, or abusive.

Not a payment processor. Not financial or tax advice.

Numbers in the app are your own records. They are not receipts, invoices, or proof of payment. Nothing here is financial, accounting, or tax advice.

If money or taxes matter to your situation, talk to a real professional. You're responsible for reporting your own income.

No warranty

Go to Neighbor is provided "as is." We do our best, but we can't promise it will always work, always be available, or always be free of bugs or mistakes.

Keep your own backup of anything you can't afford to lose. You can export your data at any time from Settings.

Limit on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost income, lost data, missed sessions, or any indirect damages that come from using the app.

If we are ever found liable anyway, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $50, whichever is more.

Ending an account

You can delete your data or stop using the app whenever you want. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.

If we ever close Go to Neighbor, we will tell you at least 30 days before, so you have time to export your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for bigger changes we'll let you know in the app or by email. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
